Cameroonian singer King Luca was born Sah Muhamed Umaru was born on May 7, 2002. Nicknamed “Wonderkid”, King Luca hails from the North‑West Region of Cameroon, specifically from the Nso ethnic group. He is a nursing student, balancing academics with a rising music career.

King Luca is making his mark with his rooted traditional Afropop. Transitioning from a nursing to a signed recording artist, he is producing hits that celebrate cultural pride through his soulful vocals, genuine storytelling often in multilingual lyrics (English, French, Pidgin), that enrich emotional depth and widen their appeal.

The rising Cameroonian Afropop sensation is known for his hit singles “Fragile”, “Ashuabi” and “Orey.” Luca is signed under Akumba Music in July 2024. The seven-year contract includes production, distribution, and artist development.

Luca got his breakthrough in the music industry with his verse on Elisha K’s “Joana” (Open Verse Challenge), leading to a remix included on the EP “Days of Elisha Epistle II” released July 12, 2024
