Ini Edo born Iniobong Edo Ekim on April 23, 1982 in Akwa Ibom State is a Nigerian actress, movie producer, and entrepreneur. Edo is from the Ibibio ethnic group. Her father was a church elder, and her mother was a school teacher. She grew up with a strict upbringing as the second of four children, with three sisters and one brother.

She attended Cornelia Connely College in Uyo. She earned a Diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Uyo and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Calabar. In 2014, she pursued a law degree at the National Open University of Nigeria.
