Mensan-Awaji James, popularly known as “Mensan,” is a Nigerian lawyer and reality television personality from Rivers State born on 17 November 1995 in Andoni, Rivers State, Nigeria. He is from the Obolo tribe.

Mensan studied at the University of Calabar earning his undergraduate studies in law, specialising in entertainment, oil and gas, and property law.

After six unsuccessful BBNaija auditions, his persistence finally paid off, securing him a well-deserved spot in the house on his seventh try; James entered the Big Brother Naija house as a 29-year-old and become one of the fans favorite.

He participated in the show to demonstrate that authenticity prevails and to provide individuals from his community with a feeling of inclusion in the entertainment sector.
