Niniola Apata born on the 15th of December 1986 is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who was born in Lagos state nigeria. She is the elder sister of popular Nigerian singer, Teni. The artist comes from a polygamous family where she is sixth of ten raised by her mother in their father’s absence who was killed in 1995.

While in secondary school, she participated in several social activities and competitions. The artist has cited Beyoncé, Dolly Parton, Madonna as her key music influencers. Niniola released her debut single* ibadi* on the 19th of March produced by Sarz , the song received lots of reviews. In 2015, Niniola was nominated in the most promising act to watch category at the Nigeria entertainment awards.

The artist actually describes her music as Afrohouse music which is a genre of Afro beat blended with house music.
