Yemi Eberichi Alade is a Nigerian song writer , singer, pop artist, actress and activist who was born on the 13th of March 1989 in Abia Nigeria. She is of Yoruba descent through her father James Alade who was a commissioner of Police and Igbo descent through her mother Helen Uzoma.

Dubbed the goddess of African Music; Yemi Alade was the winner of the Peak Talent Show in 2009. She later on signed to the Effyzzie Music Group and released her hit single Johny in 2014. The single made waves across Africa as a whole and was well loved due to its comic and educative nature. The song talks about a frivolous man who goes around impregnating women and later on denies to be responsible.

Yemi Alade in one of her first albums did collabos with prominent artists like Phyno. The album King of Queens was nominated as best album of the year at the 2015 Nigerian Entertainment Awards.
