Chimsom Chuka-Okoli (born June 20, 1999) is a multifaceted Nigerian professional who has successfully carved a niche for himself across the disparate worlds of healthcare and entertainment. A registered pharmacist by training, he has achieved wider national recognition as an actor, model, filmmaker, and creative director.

In 2026, he became a household name following his participation in the eleventh season of Nigeria’s premier reality television show, Big Brother Naija.  

Early Life and Heritage

Chimsom Chuka-Okoli was born on June 20, 1999, into a family with a strong background in healthcare. He hails from the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, in Southeastern Nigeria, and is of Igbo ethnicity.

Growing up, Chimsom was immersed in an environment that prioritized scientific discipline due to his parents’ professions; he is the son of Pharm. Solomon Chuka Okoli, the Managing Director of Kedol Health Limited, and Mrs. Nkem Chuka-Okoli. Despite the academic focus of his household, he displayed an early, vibrant aptitude for the arts and sports, foreshadowing the dual career path he would later adopt.

Education

Chimsom began his formal secondary education at Oak International College. Adhering to the familial legacy of medical service, he enrolled at Madonna University, Elele, Rivers State, to study Pharmacy. During his university days, he balanced the rigorous demands of pharmaceutical sciences with a growing interest in creative arts, model work, and university campus entertainment events. He graduated with a degree in Pharmacy.   

Following his graduation, he completed his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, during which time he briefly practiced as a pharmacist, gaining hands-on experience in the Nigerian healthcare sector.

One of his defining moments of introspection during the show occurred when he openly shared that his biggest regret was a physical fight he once had with his elder sister, describing it as a significant life mistake from which he learned self-control and maturity.
