Olivia Freeman is a beauty queen from the British Virgin Islands who gained recognition after winning the Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2025 title. With her confidence, academic background, and interest in preserving her country’s cultural identity, she became one of the Caribbean representatives to watch during the 2025 Miss Universe competition. Early Life and Background

Born Olivia Margaret Freeman on May 30, 2003 in the British Virgin Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. She grew up in a community where family, culture, and island identity play important roles in everyday life.

Olivia comes from a family with a connection to beauty pageants. Her sister, Adorya Rocio Baly Wanty, represented the British Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2015. Having a sister who had experienced the international pageant world gave Olivia a close example of what representing her homeland could involve. However, Olivia developed her own path and eventually earned a national title in her own right. 

Education and Professional Background

Beyond pageantry, Olivia has an academic background in business and economics. She attended Saint George’s Secondary School before continuing her studies at Hamilton Lavity Stoutt Community College, where she earned an associate degree in business administration and management in 2022.

She later attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Her education provided a foundation in financial systems, business operations, and economic issues.

Olivia also gained professional experience through an internship at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport and later worked as a finance cadet with the government of the British Virgin Islands. This combination of education and practical experience distinguishes her from contestants whose public profiles focus primarily on modelling and entertainment. 

Winning Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2025

On August 24, 2025, Olivia won the Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2025 competition. She competed against three other contestants and received several additional awards, including Miss Photogenic, Miss Popularity, Best Swimwear, Best Evening, and Best Intellect.

Her advocacy platform focused on bridging the generational gap through cultural creativity and innovation. The theme reflected an interest in connecting younger and older generations while keeping the islands’ traditions relevant in a changing world.

Her victory earned her the opportunity to represent the British Virgin Islands at the 74th Miss Universe competition in Thailand on November 21, 2025. She ultimately did not place among the finalists, but participating gave her international pageant experience.
