Early Life and Background

Heli Baibe was born Agaba Loice Kabanda on December 12, 1997 in Kasese, Western Uganda, a region known for its rich cultural traditions and growing entertainment scene.

She developed an interest in music while she was still young. Although music had been part of her life for years, she began pursuing it professionally in 2019. Rather than limiting herself to one musical style, she explored different sounds to create a style that could appeal to listeners both within and outside her home region.

Music Career and Rise to Fame

Heli Baibe started gaining recognition in Western Uganda through her releases and live performances. In 2020, she joined Kanta Music Group, a move that helped provide management and promotional support as she worked to expand her career.

Some of her early popular songs include “Omukwe,” “Too Much,” “Commando,” and “Toyota.” These releases helped introduce her music to a wider audience and establish her as a notable female artist from Kasese.

One of the major milestones in her career came in 2022, when she released her 17-track debut album, Make Me Famous. The project showcased her versatility and ambition, giving listeners a broader picture of her musical interests.

Heli has also worked with other Ugandan musicians. Her collaboration with Western Uganda singer Ray G on “No Stress” helped her reach more listeners, while her 2025 collaboration “Nokyala” with Kataleya and Kandle connected her with artists from another part of Uganda’s music industry.

Her catalogue has continued to grow. Releases such as “Sheri,” “Maliza,” “Fear,” “Gun,” “Ise Bahasa,” and “Tunura” have kept her active in the industry. In August 2026, she also released “Dear Ex,” featuring BE6TIN.
