Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, is a Nigerian singer, rapper and performer who was born on the 1st of May 2000 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

Rema was born into a Christian family and grew up singing and rapping. His primary and secondary education were done in Edo states. Though he lost his father and brother, he strives so hard and keeps taking care of his mother.

He rose to fame after releasing the single Dumebi; the song became a major hit both in Nigeria and internationally.

The artist started his music career in churches. He made a freestyle on Instagram that made him go viral, the track Gucci Gang* made D prince amazed and he flew the young talent to Lagos. Rema signed to Jonzing World, which is an imprint connected to Mavin Records founded by Don Jazzy. In 2019 Rema was number one on Apple Music.

The song “Calm Down” turned into a worldwide hit, particularly its remix featuring Selena Gomez.
