Reality TV Star
Victor “Keivo” Ikpe
Victor Ikpe, popularly known as Keivo, is a Nigerian web developer, technology enthusiast and reality-TV personality who became publicly known as a housemate on Big Brother Naija Season 11 in 2026. Originally from Benue State, Keivo was 27 when he entered the BBNaija house and brought together a background in technology, academic study, visual creativity and competitive self-confidence.
Early life and background
Victor Ikpe was born on October 2, 1998 and hails from Benue State, Nigeria. Before entering Big Brother Naija, he was based in Abuja, where he pursued his professional career in web development.
One glimpse into his younger years comes from an anecdote he shared through his official BBNaija profile. He recalled that, while in secondary school, he sometimes scaled the boarding-school fence and forged exit forms to leave the school premises. The story gives some insight into the independent and adventurous personality he later displayed on television.
Education
Keivo’s academic background is particularly interesting because it is not directly related to his current career in web development.
He attended the Federal University of Technology, Minna, where he studied Geography with a specialisation in Remote Sensing. Reports indicate that he completed his undergraduate degree in 2024.
His academic interests later extended to Disaster Risk Management at Ahmadu Bello University. Several reports identify this postgraduate study as one of his notable academic achievements.
The combination of geography, remote sensing and disaster-risk management provides a technical and analytical foundation that sits alongside his work in software and web development.
Career in technology
Professionally, Keivo works as a web developer, with sources specifically describing him as a front-end web developer.
His career reflects an interest in technology that developed independently of his university discipline. While his academic training focused on geography and remote sensing, he built professional skills in web development and became involved in the technology sector.
This makes Keivo an example of a young Nigerian professional whose career does not follow a strictly linear academic path. His education provided one technical foundation, while his professional interests led him toward another area of technology.
A creative side
Despite his technology-focused profession, Keivo has a distinctly creative side.
His listed hobbies include playing video games, painting and drawing. His official BBNaija profile also identifies dancing as a hidden talent, although he jokingly asks that people not tell anyone.
Painting and drawing add an artistic dimension to his otherwise technical profile. Video games, meanwhile, connect with his interest in technology and digital entertainment.
This mixture of coding, visual art and gaming contributes to the “jack-of-all-trades” identity that Keivo has used to describe himself.
Personality
Keivo describes himself as original and fiercely competitive. Africa Magic’s official introduction also highlights his strong self-confidence.
He has acknowledged that his self-confidence and pride can irritate other people. Rather than presenting himself as someone particularly concerned with outside opinions, however, Keivo says he does not place much importance on what people think of him.
His personality therefore combines confidence, independence and competitiveness. Those qualities became particularly relevant once he entered the highly social and competitive environment of Big Brother Naija.
Big Brother Naija
Keivo entered the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house on 26 July 2026 as one of the 24 original housemates. The season carried the theme “Show Ya Sef.” At the time of his introduction, he was presented as a 27-year-old web developer from Benue State.
Unlike some contestants who entered with elaborate explanations for their decision to participate, Keivo’s stated reason was remarkably straightforward: he wanted to be in the house because he wanted the experience and valued the visibility that Big Brother Naija provides.
That motivation is particularly significant given his professional background. Web development can be a relatively behind-the-scenes career, whereas BBNaija places contestants directly before a huge television and online audience.
His approach to the BBNaija experience
Keivo entered the programme with an emphasis on authenticity and competition. He described himself as “original” and “fiercely competitive,” suggesting that he intended to participate actively rather than remain a passive observer.
His combination of confidence and creativity also gave him a different profile from contestants whose backgrounds were exclusively entertainment-focused. Keivo arrived as a technology professional who also paints, draws, plays games and dances.
Relationship status
Keivo entered Big Brother Naija single, according to his official Africa Magic profile.
Public reports have also described him as open to romantic possibilities while not presenting marriage as an immediate priority. Beyond those publicly stated details, information about his private dating history is limited and should not be treated as established fact.
His BBNaija appearance brought these different aspects of his personality into public view. Rather than being known solely for his professional work, he became recognised as Keivo, a reality-TV personality with an analytical and creative background.
Life beyond television
Keivo’s professional experience in web development remains an important part of his identity even as reality television expands his public profile.
His academic qualifications in geography and disaster-risk management could also provide a separate professional direction, while his artistic interests offer opportunities in creative fields.
For now, Big Brother Naija has added entertainment and public visibility to a career that was previously centred largely on technology and education.
Professionally, he developed a career as a front-end web developer while maintaining interests in painting, drawing and video games. Dancing, meanwhile, is a talent he keeps somewhat playfully in the background.
His decision to join Big Brother Naija Season 11 introduced him to a much broader audience. Keivo said he was attracted by the visibility offered by the programme, while his self-described confidence and competitive personality became central elements of his public image.
Ultimately, Keivo’s biography is defined by variety: an academic background in geography and disaster management, a professional career in technology, creative interests in art and gaming, and a new chapter as a Nigerian reality-TV personality.
