Whitney “Nomy” Chukwu

Whitney Chukwu, popularly known as Nomy, is a Nigerian fashion entrepreneur and reality-TV personality who gained national recognition as a housemate on Big Brother Naija Season 11 in 2026. She is from Anambra State and was raised in Lagos. Her public profile combines fashion, entrepreneurship, strong self-confidence and an outspoken personality.

Early life and background

Nomy’s full name is Whitney Nneoma Chukwu. She was born on 11 November, 2000 and is originally from Anambra State, although she grew up in Surulere, Lagos.

Before entering reality television, Nomy had already established herself as a fashion entrepreneur and designer. She is associated with the fashion brand Ambition by Witme, through which she developed her interest in clothing, style and business. Her decision to enter BBNaija was strongly connected to this entrepreneurial background: she wanted the show’s platform to increase visibility for both herself and her brand.

Disqualification

According to Channels Television and other Nigerian news outlets, Big Brother cited repeated defiance of instructions, including violations connected to her Benchwarmer punishment. She had previously received a strike and further warnings over rule-related incidents.

Following her departure, Nomy expressed regret about the circumstances surrounding her exit and thanked supporters who continued to stand by her.
