Reality TV Star
Lindy Trixie Christoffels
Lindy “Trixie” Christoffels is a South African club promoter and television personality who became known nationally after appearing on Big Brother Mzansi Season 6, also known as Bazozwa, in 2026. Originally from Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape, Trixie brought a life story shaped by motherhood, divorce, ambition and the determination to build a career in entertainment.
At 35 when she entered the Big Brother house, she was one of the more experienced contestants in the season. She was living in Gauteng and working as a club promoter before joining the show.

Early Life
Lindy Christoffels comes from Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, a small town that she says played an important role in shaping her ambitions. Like many people from smaller communities, she saw the entertainment industry as an opportunity to create a bigger future for herself.
Trixie has not publicly shared many details about her childhood, parents or education, so information about her early years remains limited. What she has spoken about, however, is how her life experiences taught her resilience and helped prepare her for the challenges that came later.
Her journey into the public eye was not simply about becoming famous. She entered the entertainment industry with the goal of creating opportunities for herself and building a better future for her family.
Career
Before becoming a reality TV personality, Trixie worked as a club promoter. Her job placed her in the middle of the entertainment and nightlife scene and gave her experience dealing with different types of people.
Working in nightlife also helped her develop the confidence and social skills needed to work in a highly competitive entertainment environment. Her experience eventually led her to the biggest television opportunity of her career — Big Brother Mzansi.
Trixie has made it clear that she wants to be part of the entertainment industry and sees her career as something that can grow beyond one particular job.
Becoming a Mother
One of the most important parts of Trixie’s story is her experience as a single mother.
Before entering Big Brother Mzansi, she described herself as a divorced single mother. She explained that motherhood and the challenges she had experienced in life had taught her important lessons about strength and resilience.
Her son is also an important part of her motivation. During her time on Big Brother, Trixie revealed that one of the hardest decisions she had ever made was leaving her son behind while pursuing opportunities. She said the sacrifice continued to motivate her and push her toward her goals.
Big Brother Mzansi
Trixie entered the Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 house in January 2026 as one of the original Bazozwa housemates.
She was introduced to viewers as a 35-year-old club promoter from Uitenhage, then residing in Gauteng. Her background as a divorced mother gave her a different perspective from some of the younger contestants.
Going into the house, Trixie said that coming from a small town had given her the motivation to make something of herself in entertainment. She also believed that the lessons she had learned through life would help her handle the pressure of the competition.
When talking about relationships, she described her love languages as words of affirmation and acts of service. She values affection, presence and people showing that they genuinely care through their actions.
Her Personality
Trixie came into the show with a confident and socially experienced personality. Her background in club promotion meant that she was already comfortable around people and familiar with the entertainment world.
At the same time, her story revealed a more emotional side. Behind the confidence was a mother who had made difficult sacrifices and was determined to create a better future.
This combination of confidence, life experience and vulnerability made Trixie one of the more interesting personalities in the Bazozwa house.
Her Journey on the Show
Trixie’s Big Brother Mzansi journey lasted almost the entire season.
She survived several rounds of nominations and became part of the Top 6, securing her place in the finale alongside housemates including Liema, Thandeka, Didi, Que and Bravo B.
Reaching the final six was a major achievement. Trixie had entered the house as a club promoter and single mother from Uitenhage, but by the end of the competition she had become a familiar face to Big Brother Mzansi viewers across South Africa.
She was eventually evicted during the grand finale on March 22, 2026, finishing in sixth place.
Life After Big Brother
Trixie’s appearance on Big Brother Mzansi gave her a much larger public platform. The show introduced her to viewers who may not previously have known her work as a club promoter.
Her experience also gave her an opportunity to continue pursuing her ambitions in entertainment and media. For Trixie, Big Brother was not simply about winning the prize; it was also about putting herself out there and creating opportunities for the future.
Her story is particularly connected to the idea of persistence. She entered the show after years of life experience, motherhood and career challenges, proving that there is no particular age at which someone has to stop chasing their dreams.
Personal Life
Trixie keeps much of her personal life relatively private, but she has openly spoken about being divorced and a mother.
Her son is clearly an important part of her life and motivation. Her decision to leave him temporarily to pursue her opportunities was one of the most emotional parts of her Big Brother journey.
She has also spoken about wanting genuine affection and presence in relationships. Her preference for words of affirmation and acts of service reflects her belief that love should be demonstrated rather than simply spoken about.
