Reality TV Star
King Wanda Gumede
Wanda “King Wanda” Gumede is a South African businessman, entrepreneur, fitness enthusiast and reality television personality who became known to a wider audience through Big Brother Mzansi Season 6, also known as Bazozwa, in 2026.
Originally from Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, King Wanda entered the Big Brother house at 28 with a background in business and entrepreneurship. He quickly became known for his confident personality, strong opinions and relaxed approach to life.
Early Life
Wanda Gumede was born and raised in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. He has kept much of his early family life private, so there is limited public information about his parents, siblings and childhood.

Growing up in KwaZulu-Natal helped shape his personality and connection to his community. He later moved into business and began building a career based on entrepreneurship and self-development.
Wanda has described himself as someone who enjoys taking life as it comes. He is confident in his abilities and believes that people should make the most of opportunities when they appear.
Career and Business
Before appearing on television, Wanda was involved in business and entrepreneurship.
He entered Big Brother Mzansi as a businessman and entrepreneur, bringing with him experience outside the entertainment industry. His business background also influenced the way he approached the reality show, where he often appeared calm and calculated.
Fitness is another important part of his lifestyle. Wanda has maintained an interest in physical fitness and regularly incorporates exercise into his routine.
Entering Big Brother Mzansi
Wanda entered the Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 house in January 2026 as one of the original Bazozwa housemates.
At 28, he was among the more mature contestants in the season. His combination of business experience, confidence and strong personality made him an interesting addition to the cast.
Before entering the house, Wanda said that his love language was physical touch. He also described himself as someone who enjoys spending time with people and building genuine connections.
King Wanda Personality
The nickname “King Wanda” says quite a lot about his personality.
Wanda is confident and comfortable taking up space. He has a strong sense of self-belief and isn’t afraid to express his opinions.
At the same time, he has a relaxed and humorous side. Rather than taking every situation too seriously, he often preferred to enjoy the experience and let things unfold naturally.
His confidence sometimes made him stand out in a house filled with strong personalities. But it also helped him remain composed when disagreements or tense situations developed.
Big Brother Journey
King Wanda’s journey on Big Brother Mzansi lasted several weeks.
He became part of the show’s social dynamics and formed relationships with a number of housemates. His personality and willingness to speak his mind made him a noticeable presence in the house.
He eventually reached the Top 10, putting him among the final group of contestants still competing for the season’s grand prize.
His journey came to an end alongside Sihle “The Don” Sishi, who was also evicted during the same round. The two housemates had developed a friendship during their time in the house.
King Wanda Friendship With The Don
One of the friendships that developed during Wanda’s time on Big Brother Mzansi was his connection with The Don.
The two were among the housemates who became close during the competition. After their eviction, both spoke about the friendship and their intention to remain in contact outside the show.
Their friendship was one of the more relaxed relationships in the house, with the two often supporting each other while navigating the pressures of the competition.
His Approach to the Game
Wanda did not appear to rely entirely on a complicated game plan.
Instead, he focused on being himself, forming relationships and adapting to whatever happened in the house.
His experience in business may also have helped him understand the importance of reading situations and knowing when to speak and when to step back.
After leaving the show, Wanda reflected on the experience alongside The Don. Both contestants admitted that they had learned a lot about themselves during their time in the house.
Eviction
King Wanda was eventually evicted from Big Brother Mzansi in March 2026, after making it to the Top 10.
Although he did not reach the finale, his time on the show gave him significant exposure and introduced him to viewers who had never encountered his work as an entrepreneur.
Reaching the Top 10 was also a strong result for someone who entered the house without an established television career.
Life After Big Brother
After leaving the Big Brother house, Wanda had an opportunity to use his new public profile to expand his work outside reality television.
His background in business means that entrepreneurship remains an important part of his identity, while his television appearance has opened the door to opportunities in entertainment, brand partnerships and social media.
Like many former Big Brother contestants, he now has a larger audience with which to share his projects, lifestyle and interests.
Personal Life
Wanda generally keeps his private life relatively low-key.
He has spoken about his approach to relationships and described physical touch as his preferred love language. His time in the Big Brother house also showed that he enjoys forming close bonds with people and values loyalty in friendships.
He has not publicly shared extensive details about his family or romantic history, preferring to keep much of that side of his life away from the spotlight.
