Rolly Panda is a Ghanaian Afrobeat and Afropop musician known for his energetic performances, catchy songs, and dedication to promoting music and culture in the Volta Region. He has spent years building his career through music releases, live shows, and community-focused events.

Although he may not receive as much mainstream attention as some of Ghana’s biggest music stars, Rolly Panda has developed a loyal following, particularly in the Volta Region. His journey reflects the determination required to build a sustainable music career while staying connected to one’s roots.

Early Life and Education

Hayford Adjorlolo, popularly known as Rolly Panda, is from Keta in Ghana’s Volta Region. He developed an interest in music while growing up and began pursuing his passion during his secondary school years.

He attended Ghanata Senior High School, where his musical talent started attracting attention. In 2007, he won an award for Best Hiplife Artiste at an inter-school Christmas fiesta held at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra. The recognition gave him encouragement to continue developing his skills.

After secondary school, Rolly Panda attended the University of Ghana. His time there provided opportunities to continue working on his music while pursuing his education. One experience at university later inspired his 2016 song “Libido,” demonstrating how everyday experiences could become material for his songwriting.

Music Career and Rise to Recognition

Rolly Panda officially began establishing himself in Ghana’s music industry with songs that combine Afrobeat, Afropop, and Hiplife influences. Some of his early releases include “Ewukplu,” “Krom Ay3 D3,” “So Dem Dey,” and “Altar.”

In 2016, he released “Libid0,” produced by Kay Nie and featuring Boy Kay. The song drew inspiration from a personal experience at university and received radio airplay, helping him maintain his presence in the music scene.

Another important release was “Domedo,” which arrived in December 2017. The song celebrated gratitude and divine protection, and its popularity led to a concert in Accra in May 2018.

Over the years, Rolly Panda has continued releasing music, including songs such as “Touch Your Body,” “Thank God It’s Friday (T.G.I.F.),” “Abinandi,” “Basabasa,” and “Vivi.”

Trip to Volta Concert

One of Rolly Panda’s most significant achievements is his Trip to Volta concert, an annual event created to celebrate music and give back to his community.

The concert has grown into an important entertainment event in the Volta Region, bringing together local musicians and music fans. The fifth edition took place in September 2025 and included a campaign raising awareness about drug abuse among young people.

Through the event, Rolly Panda has shown that his ambitions extend beyond performing. He also wants to use music to encourage education, promote positive choices, and support community development.
