Jovi’s Birthday: 24th October 1983


Born Ndukong Godlove Nfor popularly known as Jovi or Mboko God is a Cameroonian rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, record producer who was born on the 24th of October 1983 in Douala Cameroon. He is of the Wimbum ethnic group; parents from Ndu (father) and Tabiken (mother).

He is the owner of the record label New bell Music.

The artist’s gained national recognition after the release of his hit track ‘Don 4kwat’ in 2012. He is known as the first rap artist in the country to have rapped in pidgin and is also recognized for breaking linguistic and cultural barriers and gaining massive followers from both the anglophone and francophone side of the country because of his fluency in English, French, pidgin, Mboko and others while singing. His punchlines are always witty and full of so much creativity that propels a unique sense and sensation. The Mboko god released his highly anticipated album *Mboko God* in 2015 and it was nominated for best album in the Kora.

With fans always clashing on the internet on who is better between Jovi and Stanley Enow, truth is both artist have their peculiarities that portray uniqueness, originality and are not to be compared. One point about Jovi is, he has succeeded in painting Cameroon’s name in the dignitaries of African music. Jovi is also known for his reserved and very selective nature. He remains the best in his domain.

EDUCATION

Jovi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management from University of Yaoundé II (Soa). He also studied and had training in sound engineering and music production; SAE Sound Engineering School in Bangalore, India.
