Born on the 13th of September 1974, Monalisa Chinda is a Nigerian actress,film producer, Tv and media personality. She was born in river states and she’s the first child in a family of four girls and two boys. She attended her primary and secondary schools in port Harcourt, the actress later obtained a degree in theatre arts in the university of port Harcourt.

Her first movie ‘Pregnant Virgin’ was done in 1996 after which she did many other amazing and interesting movies. Her popularity started in 2007 when she was seen in the tv show ‘Heaven’s Gate’ she later on produced movies with prominent producers including, Desmond Eliot.

In 2012 she was among the first Nollywood actors to feature on the cover of Hollywood weekly magazine. Later on in 2014 the actress stepped down in acting to focus on her talk show You and I with Monalisa.

The actress is a consultant with Royal arts academy which is a school that is out to brand new acting talents, directing and screen writing as well. The actress also writes on social and relationship issues.

The actress is a holder of awards and also nominations like her nomination in 2010 as best actress in a drama series at the Terracotta Tv and film award, Best actress in an Afro Hollywood award at the Monte Carlo Television Festival.
