Born on the 17th of September 1987 in Wum, North West Region of Cameroon. Kang Quintus is a prominent multi-award-winning Cameroonian actor, filmmaker, producer, and director. He went to primary and secondary school in his hometown Wum and later moved to the University of Buea where he graduated with a B.sc in accounting. Later on he traveled to Belgium where he got a Master of Arts in Governance at Ceris.

Some call him the king of the Cameroon film industry. His colleagues nicknamed him Method Actor because of his deep and intense connection with the characters he play.

He is widely recognized as one of the most influential figures driving the growth of “Collywood” (the Cameroon film industry) onto the global stage.

He has won many awards as best actor and has many nominations. His multi task nature makes him adapt excellently well to any role he is to play. He has worked with many nollywood actors and also has Hollywood actors that he looks up to for example Denzel Washington. Some of his productions are: Ekei, Far, Decoded and others. He was living between Washington DC in the US and Cameroon. Kang Quintus is considered as one of Africa’s best actors.

One cannot talk about Kang Quintus without mentioning his incredible work The Fisherman’s Diary, because of how unique and interesting the movie is; also make it the first ever Cameroonian movies to be featured on Netflix. The movie is what took the Cameroon film industry to another level of greatness, before Quintus could get done with the movie , he stayed in limbe for three months continuously just to observe how the fishermen behave, so as to give the story a natural and real sensation. Fortunately, he succeeded immensely and got what he deserved. The set had about five directors.

Nganu (2023): Another massive hit that he directed, produced, and starred in. The film focuses heavily on the raw realities of domestic abuse, trauma, and mental health within a rural community.

Awards: He has accumulated numerous continental accolades, including multiple wins at the Eko International Film Festival, the Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF), and various nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

Through his production company, Kang Quintus Films, he continues to focus on creating high-production-value stories that address deep-rooted African societal issues.
