Ndifor Achu, known professionally as Achu Normad, is a Cameroonian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music executive. Achu Normad was born on April 10, 1988, in Cameroon. He grew up in the village of Mankon in Bamenda, a culturally rich area located in the Northwest Region of the country.
Music ran in his family—his father was a guitarist—and Achu was deeply influenced by the drumbeats and traditional village dance groups around him. He picked up the guitar at a young age, practicing traditional African rhythms before discovering and being captivated by the harmonic swing of jazz.
