Oluwaseyifunmi “Araga” Sosanya

Oluwaseyifunmi Sosanya, popularly known as Araga, is a Nigerian fashion model and former Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate. He hails from Ogun State and entered the 2026 reality show hoping to expand his profile beyond modelling and show a wider audience more of his personality.

Early life and background

Araga was born on April 16, 1998 in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Modelling career

Araga built his professional identity primarily through fashion modelling, reportedly entering the modelling industry around 2020. His work eventually brought him recognition in Nigerian pageantry and fashion circles, including a Mr Global Nigeria 2023 title.

His modelling background helped him develop confidence in front of cameras and audiences, while also giving him a platform from which to pursue opportunities outside the fashion industry.

Personality and interests

Araga describes himself as calm, observant and funny when he chooses to be. His hobbies include football and athletics, reflecting a longstanding interest in sports. He also identifies acting as a hidden talent, saying he naturally creates scenes and conversations in his head and sometimes performs them in front of a mirror.

Big Brother Naija 

Araga entered the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house as the 16th housemate. He explained that he wanted the programme to help him break out of his shell and put himself out there, using the platform to reveal sides of himself that audiences might not have seen through modelling alone.

During his introduction, Araga presented himself as someone who intended to remain authentic rather than rely on an elaborate strategy. He also described himself as a “ladies’ man,” while saying that he wanted to stay true to himself during the competition.

BBNaija journey and eviction

Araga’s journey lasted through Week 7 of the competition. On 13 September 2026, he was evicted alongside Abisola “Abi” Ayoola during a double-eviction live show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. His departure reduced the number of contestants remaining in the competition to 14.

During his time in the house, he was also involved in one of the season’s relationship storylines with fellow housemate Goddessa, according to reports covering his eviction.

Personal life

At the time he entered Big Brother Naija, Araga was publicly listed as single. His public profile has focused mainly on his modelling career, sporting interests and television experience, with relatively little verified information available about his life away from entertainment.
