Baves O was born on August 1st, and raised in Kumasi, Ghana. His interest in music began at an early age, influenced partly by his father, who plays the piano. Growing up around music helped nurture his creative side and encouraged him to explore his own musical abilities.

During his junior high school years, he became interested in rap, with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie serving as one of his early influences. He later attended KNUST Senior High School, where he studied General Science.

However, music was not his only interest. Baves O also pursued Computer Science at university and developed professional skills in technology. His combination of technical knowledge and artistic ambition reflects his determination to build a career while maintaining different interests.

Music Career and Breakthrough

Baves O officially began releasing music professionally in 2025. His debut single, “Volcano,” arrived on October 28, 2025. The song explored an intense romantic relationship, using atmospheric production and expressive vocals to communicate the excitement and difficulties of love.

The release introduced listeners to his distinctive approach to songwriting, which combines personal storytelling with contemporary alternative sounds.

In November 2025, he followed up with “Rolling Stone.” The reflective song explored faith, personal development, and the search for peace during uncertain times. It further established his interest in creating music that encourages listeners to think about their experiences.

One of the biggest opportunities in his early career came through working with celebrated Ghanaian rapper M.anifest. In June 2026, Baves O discussed how the collaboration had opened doors for him and helped more people discover his music.

He subsequently released the six-track EP “Are You With Me?”, featuring M.anifest as the project’s guest artist. The project explores themes of love, heartbreak, and healing, giving listeners a clearer picture of his artistic direction.

Musical Style and Influences
